Trautwein Herleth is pleased to announce the representation of Stella Zhong (b. 1993, Shenzhen, China; lives and works in New York, USA) following her debut exhibition at the gallery this spring. Through intricate sculptures and layered installations, Stella Zhong explores the limits of material processes, symbolic systems, and human perception. Incorporating a multitude of material and conceptual approaches, she crafts environments that oscillate in scale, physicality, and approachability. Her distinctive engagement with physical space and architecture rewards sustained investigation while simultaneously withholding certain details, articulating the delicate balance between order and entropy, visibility and concealment. She has been included in recent exhibitions at Para Site, Hong Kong; The Power Station, Dallas; Leeum Museum of Art, Seoul; and SculptureCenter, New York, as well as holding solo exhibitions across Europe, North America and Asia.
